PSP 2011 Forwardpatch für Inventor 2014 verfügbar

Eben im Autodesk Partnerbereich (OTW) gefunden: Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 Server and Client Update to enable compatibility with Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD 2014 based products.

Ob Kunden das Ding schon im Subscriptcenter finden, weiß ich nicht also einfach euren Händler fragen, ob er euch das "Zeugs" gibt. Bekommen übrigens nur Kunden, die PSP unter Subscription haben! Je nachdem, von welcher CAD version ihr auf 2014 geht, muss ihr. ggf. vorher noch andere Hotfixes installieren: Siehe Readme unten.

1. Der Hotfix ändert sowohl an den Clients was, wie auch auf dem Server, also vorher einen Backup des PSP Servers und der PSP Datenbank machen. Wenn ihr davon keine Ahnung habt, dann lasst die Finger davon und lässt es einen machen, der weiß wie's geht ;)
2. Ich würde auch nicht jeden Hotfix sofort installieren, sowieso wenn es sich um ein so systemkritisches Programm wie PSP handelt! Im Zweifel erst in einer Testumgebung alles mal durchtesten oder noch etwas warten, ob nicht die "Early Birds" irgendwelche Bugs finden.

Description of the Update

Install this Server and Client Update if you need to enable Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 compatibility with Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD 2014 based products.

With this Server Update patched on Productstream Professional 2011 Server, you must install this Client Update on all Productstream Professional 2011 Client that working with Inventor/AutoCAD 2013, 2012 and 2011 based products, in order to enable the compatibility of these clients with the server.

This Server and Client Update will not apply to the Productstream Professional 2011 working with Inventor/AutoCAD 2010 based products.

It is required to install Autodesk Design Review 2013. After patching this Server and Client Update, Productstream Professional 2011 will not be compatible with Autodesk Design Review 2012 and 2011.

Installation Requirements

· It is recommended that you back up all the server files and database before you apply this Server Update. The Server Update will only automatically back up those server files affected by this update.

· Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install this Server and Client Update.

· On Windows 7 installations, disable the User Account Control feature.

Installation Instructions

To install the Productstream Professional 2011 Server and Client Update for CAD 2014 Series on the Server:

1. Install Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 RTM.

2. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Server Update for Microsoft Office 2010.

3. Install hotfix TS20861600. (Double Quote character (") in the SHORT_DESC will be mutated to Single Quote (') during Copy Design)

4. Install this Productstream Professional 2011 Server Update for CAD 2014 Series.

a. Download and Unzip the pspro2011_cad2014_fp.zip file locally.

b. Double click the pspro2011_cad2014_fp_Server.exe file on the server to begin the installation. When done, click Finish.

To install the Productstream Professional 2011 Server and Client Update for CAD 2014 Series on the Client if you are working with CAD 2014 Series:

1. Install Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 RTM.

2. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2012 Series.

3. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2013 Series.

4. Install this Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2014 Series.

a. Download and Unzip the pspro2011_cad2014_fp.zip file locally.

b. Double click the appropriate pspro2011_cad2014_fp_Client.exe file on the client to begin the installation. When done, click Finish.

NOTE: With patching this Server Update on your server, if some of your clients are still working with Inventor/AutoCAD 2013, 2012 or 2011 based products, it is required to install the Client Update on them.

To install the Productstream Professional 2011 Server and Client Update for CAD 2014 Series on the Client if you are working with CAD 2013 Series:

1. Install Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 RTM.

2. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2012 Series.

3. Install hotfix TS17323609. (Incorrect displayed value of the characteristics field when using a selective list from the data base)

4. Install hotfix TS17589850. (The document must be saved again after performing JBSPropUpdate for DWG)

5. Install hotfix TS18041047. (Components get invisible after switching from a Substitute LOD to the Master one)

6. Install hotfix TS18563127. (Wrong BOM values in Mechanical when items have more revisions)

7. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2013 Series.

8. Install hotfix TS20998455. (Inventor Integration multiple issues)

9. Install this Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2014 Series.

a. Download and Unzip the pspro2011_cad2014_fp.zip file locally.

b. Double click the appropriate pspro2011_cad2014_fp_Client.exe file on the client to begin the installation. When done, click Finish.

To install the Productstream Professional 2011 Server and Client Update for CAD 2014 Series on the Client if you are working with CAD 2011 Series:

1. Install Autodesk Productstream Professional 2011 RTM.

2. Install hotfix TS15511540. (Connection lost between Inventor and Productstream Professional)

3. Install hotfix TS15872844. (References and some mapped fields not updated after importing via drag & drop)

4. Install Productstream Professional 2011 Client Update for CAD 2012 Series.

7. Install hotfix TS17120567. (Wrong BOM values in AcadM when items have more revisions)

a. Download and Unzip the pspro2011_cad2014_fp.zip file locally.

b. Double click the appropriate pspro2011_cad2014_fp_Client.exe file on the client to begin the installation. When done, click Finish.

Uninstall

To uninstall the Update for CAD 2014 Series:

· Uninstall “Update for PSP Pro Server CAD2014 Series” on the server in Programs and Features of the system control

o Remark: The configuration is not removed

· Install Productstream Professional 2011 Server Update for CAD 2013 Series

· Uninstall “Update for PSP Pro Client CAD2014 Series” on the server in Programs and Features of the system control

· Install Productstream Professional 2011 Server Update for CAD 2013 Series

Issues Addressed

· New Inventor 2014 feature “Express Mode” is supported when opening an Inventor assembly.

Known Issues

· Productstream Professional cannot open files within Inventor 2013 or 2014 if Inventor application launches with Welcome Screen. It is recommended to turn off the Welcome Screen in Inventor, by unchecking "Show Welcome Screen on start-up" option under Tools Tab -> Application Options -> General -> Start-up.

· While using Inventor 2013/2014 application, some Productstream Professional client functions might not work as expected on the files created by Inventor 2011 or any older version. It is recommended to migrate those legacy files to Inventor 2013/2014 version.

· Productstream Professional commands might not show up in Inventor Quick Access Toolbar after restarting Productstream Professional Client and Inventor, you may have to add those commands again.
